Dozens of people were seen rushing to collect fuel from a leaking tanker at the City Gate area of Asaba, Delta State. This happened despite the risk of an explosion.
Videos shared on X on Thursday showed men and women with buckets, jerrycans and other containers trying to gather the spilling fuel from the tanker.
The incident reportedly happened after the tanker started leaking its contents, which drew a big crowd to the area.
This situation has raised safety worries. Fuel spillages from tankers have caused deadly explosions in various places across the country before.
