The Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja has granted social media star, Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO, bail of N20m. This is in connection with her trial over an alleged fraud of N69.15m.
Justice Rahman Oshodi gave the bail after looking at her application. He noted that the court must check the seriousness of the claims and the punishment according to the law.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) charged Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026, with two counts involving stealing and obtaining money by false pretences.
The EFCC claimed that in March 2025, she got N69,150,000 from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited under false pretenses of securing a lease for a property in Lekki, Lagos.
She pleaded not guilty to the charges.
While discussing the bail request, the court asked about Blessing's international passport.
Her lawyer told the court that the passport was lost. He presented an affidavit of loss along with public notices about the loss.
Justice Oshodi ruled to grant her bail of N20m. He said she must have two sureties who are responsible and also provide bail of N20m each.
Each surety must show a three-year bank statement or proof of a fixed deposit of at least N20m.
The judge also ordered that Blessing and her sureties be checked through the Lagos State Judiciary’s Bail Information Management System.
Furthermore, Justice Oshodi instructed the Nigerian Immigration Service to be informed of Blessing's travel restrictions until the case is finished.
The case has been postponed to October 12, 2026, for further hearing.
