The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested a self-proclaimed spiritualist from Edo, Odigie Moses. He is accused of blackmailing a woman to send him money by threatening to share her nude video.

On Friday, the EFCC shared a statement on its X account. They said Moses demanded $1,100, which is about N1.5 million, before he was caught in Ekpoma, Edo State.

The EFCC statement explained that Moses pretended to have spiritual healing powers on Zelle, a social media platform. His victim, an Indian woman, reached out to him for help with serious life problems.

Moses tricked her into taking a naked spiritual bath, which he recorded without her knowing. After that, he blackmailed her to send him money, or he would release the video.

The investigation showed that the woman paid Moses $1,100 to stop him from sharing her nude video. He will face charges in court once the investigation wraps up.
